Morrisons
WCEC has worked with retail giant Morrisons for over 20 years, delivering new build and refurbishments across the country. Recently completed projects include award winning stores at Denton near Manchester and at Kings Lynn, with a new store at Whitefield, Bury completed in 2008.
In 2004, Morrisons aquired Safeway and embarked upon the biggest retail conversion programme ever undertaken in the UK, with WCEC responsible for converting 50 stores to the Morrison format.
The practice is now working on a number of extension projects for Morrison following on from the conversion work; one of the first of these to be completed was a large extension to the Glenrothes store near Edinburgh in 2006.
A further extension is plsnned in Selby with new build stores planned for the West Midlands and Manchester.
