Friar Gate

The Friar Gate goods yard and station scheme will provide new uses and regeneration for three historic landmarks: the Bonded Warehouse, the Engine House and the Railway Viaduct behind the listed bridge.  These works will see the creation of a new superstore, close to the heart of Derby and generate the kind of footfall that could stimulate the historic Cathedral Quarter of the city.

The scheme will offer new homes, centres of employment, retail and commercial space. It will also provide public and amenity space along with pedestrian and cycle routes throughout the site.
