Commercial development
The striking modern architecture of this design heralds a new future for the Openshaw area of East Manchester. The design follows wide local consultation to ensure that the new centre fits into its setting and achieves its aim of helping to revitalise this part of Manchester.
We are working in partnership with Manchester City Council and New East Manchester, a regeneration company on this project which will regenerate a large urban area. The first phase was completed in October 2010.
Anchored by Morrisons in an 80,000 sq ft store, the second phase of this scheme which started on site in July 2011 will also deliver 8 further retail units, office accommodation and medical centre with plans approved for a third phase incorporating a leisure and fitness centre.
