Wixams Bedfordshire

Wixams will be one of the largest new communities ever to be built in the UK, delivering a high quality environment for people to work and live in on a former industrial site.

wcec were appointed by developers Gallagher Estates to undertake the masterplanning of the town centre, allocating and linking areas for schools, retail, health, leisure and employment use and demonstrating how the town centre would effectively integrate into the wider area.

When complete, the Wixams development will deliver a new town centre, 4,500 new homes, a new railway station, six new schools, sports and leisure facilities and 300 acres of green space.

Work on the infrastructure of this community has already been completed, and construction is underway on the first phase of houses to be built.
