Oldham, Windsor Works
This sensitive conversion project will bring back into use a a prominent building in Oldham as a mixed use space for offices and residential apartments. The scheme will transfor the historic building to provide 6,000 sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor, with 10 one and two bedroom luxury apartments above.
The design extends the building by adding an additional storey. This has been designed as a lightweight contemporary steel and glass structure which will contrast well with the red mill. The new apartments will have expansive views over Oldham, bringing visible activity and life to the local areas.
Windsor Works is a late Victorian mill which is on an important regneneration site within the projected tram line corridor and close to the train station. It is anticipated this development will act as a catalyst for the local area, bringing a new vibrancy to its immediate surroundings.
