Promotion at wcec architects

Promotion at wcec architects

20 June 2008

wcec architects have promoted Jason Ainsworth to associate, just six months after he joined the practice.

In his new role, Jason will manage the practice's eight strong pre-development team which is currently working with Sheffield United on a number of leisure projects across the city, and on several  town centre regeneration schemes across the UK.

Jason has over 10 years commercial design experience and was appointed in January 2008 to strengthen wcec's urban renaissance and residential team.  He also has a strong background in masterplanning and will take the lead in developing masterplanning services offered by wcec.

Before joining wcec, Jason worked for one of the UK's largest practices where he produced designs for clients such as Places for People, Hard Rock Cafe and Aston University,  and delivered an award winning headquarters for the Department for the Environment.

Jason said: "I'm looking forward to the increased responsibility at wcec and helping to drive forward the practice's growth plans.   The company has an extremely diverse portfolio, and I will be further developing the range of services on offer in order that we can remain competitive in today's challenging market".

wcec has offices just outside Sheffield and specialises in regenerating towns and district centres with mixed used developments.  During the past 12 months the practice has secured a British Council of Shopping Centres Gold Award, received a listing in the Top 100 Professional Companies to Work For and won a Sheffield Business Award for learning and development.
