WCEC Architects has boosted its interior design team with the appointment of David Billington.

David has 7 years commercial design experience gained in the residential, retail, leisure and public sectors.  He specialises in interior architecture and at WCEC he will be bringing his design expertise to several development projects which are currently underway including a superstore extension in Edinburgh for B&Q, a  proposed community facility in North Sheffield and the Stocksbridge regeneration scheme which is currently undergoing consultation.

He joins WCEC from Lewis and Hickey Architects in Nottingham where he worked on high profile projects for companies such as Boots plc and NatWest Bank.

WCEC is expanding its team to meet a growing client portfolio and David’s appointment takes the size of the workforce up to 85.  Ten years ago the practice had just 20 employees.

David said: “I’m delighted to be joining WCEC.  As one of the biggest practices in the region they have a very diverse portfolio which will present some interesting and complex design challenges for me.”
