WCEC sponsor fun run

WCEC Architects are putting their best feet forward for the annual Dronfield 10K race and fun run which will be held on Sunday March 16.

Not only has the company teamed up with race organisers 7th Dronfield Scout Group to sponsor the fun run, but they will also be fielding a team of more than 30 runners in the two races.

WCEC has taken part in the race for the past three years, with employees and their families pounding the streets of Dronfield to raise thousands of pounds for good causes.  This year the charity runners will be striding ahead to raise funds for the Parkinson’s Disease society.

Alex Wall, partner at WCEC and one of the company’s top runners, said: “The annual Dronfield 10K race and 2K fun run is a fantastic community event which brings people together regardless of their running ability.  We have enjoyed taking part over the past three years, and this year, we thought we would get even more closely involved by sponsoring the fun run.”

David Stephenson, race organiser, said: “We are delighted that WCEC have agreed to sponsor the fun run.  The 10K race attracts people of all running abilities, but the 2K run allows youngsters, and those grown ups who find 10K too daunting, to take part in this important event in Dronfield’s community calendar.”
