Training and development award for WCEC

Training and development award for WCEC

12 December 2007

WCEC Architects have been announced as winners in this years Sheffield Business Awards in the training and development category.

The company beat off stiff competition to win the award, which recognised that WCEC put training and development at the heart of the business, helping the company to make significant progress towards achieving its strategic objectives.

WCEC have invested heavily in training and development after implementing a new business plan just two years ago.  Since that time the company has seen improvements in turnover, project diversity, numbers of clients and profitability. The company also has a very low staff turnover rate, and is able to recruit the very best in architectural talent because of its commitment to training and development.

The Sheffield Business Awards is the region's major annual awards ceremony celebrating business excellence.

Alex Wall, partner at WCEC Architects, said: We have made a huge commitment to training and development and we are already seeing the benefits.  Our staff are our greatest asset and the whole package of opportunities that we offer to our employees means that our staff are skilled and motivated which ensures the continued growth and success of the practice.
