Sheffield United Hotel

Work has now started on a new £17 million hotel designed by Chesterfield based architects WCEC. This new project is being built adjacent to Sheffield Uniteds Bramall Lane stadium.
The four star hotel will have 157-bedrooms and will include restaurants, bars and a fitness suite. The hotel which will be operated by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc, is due to open in autumn 2008. When completed it will be one of the largest in Sheffield and will offer exceptional facilities for visitors to Sheffield.
The dramatic, modern architectural design of the hotel is strongly modelled to contrast with the flat facades of the existing street scene. The hotel will boast a restaurant on the ground floor creating a live street frontage bringing vibrancy and animation to the area.
This development heralds the economic regeneration of this area of Sheffield and will provide a major financial boost for the region. The arrival of the hotel will create a substantial number of jobs for the local Sharrow area.
