40 years in Commercial Architecture
The Livingston offices of WCEC Architects have had a record breaking start to the New Year. They have been awarded contracts to design four new supermarkets for Asda. Three of these will be in Northern Ireland and a fourth at Galashiels. This work follows on from the two new stores that the Scottish Office of WCEC designed for Asda last year at Motherwell and Huntly and a conversion of a Big W into an Asda in Aberdeen.
WCEC Architects are also looking at designs for new Asda stores in both Banff and Tain which it is hoped will be submitted for planning shortly.
Partner Alex Wall said: We have been delighted with the way the Scottish Office has developed and has gained an excellent reputation in such a short period of time. We are now seeing clients returning to us because of the outstanding level of service that our staff are providing.

WCEC is also working on a large extension to a Morrisons supermarket in Glenrothes following its conversion from the Safeway format by the practice last year.
